Who's contributing content for the FoodWise campaign?
 

Do Something would like to thank all the organisations and individuals that have contributed content to the FoodWise site, making it a comprehensive one-stop shop for food information. Armed with the knowledge to reduce our food-related carbon emissions, we can do something about the environmental and financial impact of food waste.

Check out the chefs who have contributed recipes and content for the FoodWise site.

Australian Farmers' Markets Association - AFMA was convened to form a framework for best-practice farmers' markets operators to exchange information, coordinate policy and promote grower-centric farmers' markets across Australia.

Australian Government's Culture Portal - the Culture Portal provides online access to Australian culture websites from all levels of government and is a comprehensive online access point.

David Baker - David is a Research Fellow at The Australia Institute and is the report co-author of What a waste - an analysis of household expenditure on food. He has previously served as a research officer for Victorian Parliament.

Biological Farmers of Australia - the BFA is Australia's largest representative organic body, actively working to influence standards development and support the growth of the Australian organic market.

Allan Campion & Michele Curtis - Allan and Michele have been involved in the local food scene since the early 1990s. Both are professional chefs and have written several cookbooks and guides, including the annual Foodies' Guide.

Julian Cribb - Julian is an award winning science writer. He is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and principal of Julian Cribb & Associates, consultants in science communication.

Rupert Crilly & Aniol Esteban - Rupert is Reseacher, Natural Economies at the New Economics Foundation (nef) in London, UK. He has worked as a researcher around the world and now focuses on the impact of growth on the environment, valuing the environment and how policy can be made to increase sustainability. Aniol is the Head of Environmental Economics at nef, he works to drive change towards enhancing the natural system that underpins our society by revealing how nature and the environment benefit our society and by making the environment central to economic and policy practice.

Ben Cubby - Ben is The Sydney Morning Herald Environment Editor.

Food Safety Information Council - the FSIC aims to reduce the number of Australians getting sick from food poisoning by providing simple, easy to follow consumer information on the handling, storage and preparation of food.

Arabella Forge - Arabella is the author of Frugavore: How to grow your own, buy local, waste nothing and eat well. Arabella is a Melbourne-based Nutritionist with a Masters degree in Dietetics. She is also a proud chook-keeper, home-cook, and passionate gardener. Arabella teaches regular cooking classes in Melbourne which focus on traditional cooking techniques such as sourdough bread making, home-preservation and wild fermentation. She also runs the Melbourne Chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation and has featured as a speaker at Slow Food forums.

Suzanne Gibbs & Kate Gibbs - Suzanne is currently Food Director of BBC Australian Good Food magazine. Since graduating from Le Cordon Bleu School of Cookery in London over 30 years ago she has become a regular cookbook author and food writer for Australian newspapers and magazines. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Margaret Fulton, she is keen to ensure family meals are healthy and diverse. Suzanne has co-authored The Thrifty Kitchen with daughter Kate Gibbs, a journalist, blogger, author and cook, who has inherited her mother and grandmother's passion for food and cooking.

Diana Gibson - Diana is a horticulturist, keen home and community food gardener, and committed environmentalist.

Richard Glover - Richard is a writer and broadcaster whose weekly column has appeared in The Sydney Morning Herald for the last 20 years.

Donna Green & Liz Minchin - Donna is a founding member of UNSW's Climate Change Research Centre. Together with Liz Minchin, a Walkley Award-winning journalist at The Age, they're the authors of Screw Lightbulbs.

Greenpeace - Greenpeace is an independent, global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and bevaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace.

Growcom - Growcom provides representation, leadership, information and consultancy services to the fruit, vegetable and horticultural industries in Queensland. They embrace and promote innovative, responsible farming and business practices.

Clive Hamilton - Clive is an author and public intellectual. He is currently the appointed Professor of Public Ethics at the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics and was the former executive director of The Australian Institute.

Moreland City Council - located within Melbourne, Victoria, Moreland City Council has an extensive environment and waste program, with a commitment to responsible and sustainable practices.

Nursery and Garden Industry Australia - A membership body, NGIA works towards a unified Australian nursery and garden industry that is productive, profitable and sustainable.

Lisa Pryor - Lisa is a columnist and opinion writer for The Sydney Morning Herald, where she also previously edited the opinion page. She is also the author of The Pin Striped Prison: How Overachievers Get Trapped in Corporate Jobs They Hate.

Nicole Senior - Nicole Senior is an Accredited Nutritionist, consultant, editor, author, writer, speaker, blogger and social networker. She has a keen interest in food sustainability and convenes the Food and Environment Interest Group of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).

Sydney Food Fairness Alliance - the SFFA coordinates the efforts of rural producers, health professionals, community workers and community-based advocates active in developing a socially, economically and environmentally sustainable food system.
